About Joanne 

Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Joanne Levy’s love of books began at a very early age.  Being the youngest and the only female among four children, she was often left to her own devices and could often be found sitting in a quiet corner, her nose in a book. 

Until she became a teenager.

After much teenage misadventure, including becoming a high-school dropout and working at various dismal jobs, Joanne finally refocused and returned to school.  She graduated from McMaster University with a B. A. in Labour Studies and now works 37.5 hours a week at one of the big Canadian banks. The rest of the time, she is at her computer, channeling her teen self into books. 

Joanne has won the following contests:

RWA Chick Lit Chapter 2008 Get Your Stiletto in the Door Young Adult Category (for SMALL MEDIUM AT LARGE) 

RWA Chick Lit Chapter 2007 Get Your Stiletto in the Door Classic Chick-lit/Lady Lit Category Winner (for WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS...) 

Joanne was a 2007 Backspace Conference Scholarship Finalist. She has also been featured on The Debutante Ball (June 2008).  

Joanne still lives in Ontario with her husband and kids of the furred and feathered variety.
